Hydraulic fluids
The A10VSO variable pump is designed for operation
with HLP mineral oil according to DIN 51524.
Application instructions and requirements for hydraulic
fluids should be taken from the following data sheets
before the start project planning:
▶ 90220: Hydraulic fluids based on mineral oils and
related hydrocarbons
▶ 90221: Environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids
▶ 90222: Fire-resistant, water-free hydraulic fluids
(HFDR/HFDU) (for permissible technical data,
see data sheet 90255)
Notes on selection of hydraulic fluid
The hydraulic fluid should be selected so that the operating
viscosity in the operating temperature range is within the
optimum range (νopt see selection diagram).
Notice
▶ The axial piston unit is suitable for operation with water-
containing HF hydraulic fluid. See version “E”
▶ 90223: Fire-resistant, water-containing hydraulic fluids
(HFAE, HFAS, HFB, HFC)
▶ 90225: Restricted technical data only for operation
▶ with fire-resistant, water-free and water-containing
hydraulic fluids (HFDR, HFDU, HFB, HFC)- technical data
